This full-time, contract opportunity offers a unique split role for the 2024-2025 school year, serving both an Early Childhood Center (preschool and kindergarten) and a specialized elementary program (K-5) for students with autism and developmental disabilities. Engage with dynamic teams across both programs and play a pivotal role in fostering students’ social, emotional, and academic success.
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with school psychologist endorsement
- Experience or training in delivering psychological services in schools preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities when working with staff, students, and families
- Ability to adapt and work effectively across diverse learning environments
- Familiarity with supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students in both the Early Childhood Center and specialized elementary program
- Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote positive behavioral and academic outcomes
- Deliver counseling and intervention services tailored to the needs of early learners and children with developmental disabilities
- Help build a supportive, inclusive climate that meets the social-emotional needs of all students
